Charter & Constitution

At the International Lodge Meeting in 2006 a decision was made to develop a re-ordered Constitution and companion document. The resulting Charter, Constitutions and Procedures document was unveiled at the 2008 International Convention in San Diego, CA.

At the 2010 International Convention in Coeur d'Alene, ID the decision was made to revise the Index to the Charter, Constitutions and Procedues.

The committee that worked on the document worked from the idea that the Constitutions of Sons of Norway be limited to items of law. Based on this, the committee then developed two sections, Constitutions and Procedures.

It was agreed early in the process that there was no need to make any changes to the Charter. Hence, the reordered document consists of three sections, Charter, Constitutions and Procedures.
