The Sons of Norway Foundation offers

following GRANTS:
The Sons of Norway Foundation Heritage and Culture Fund
was established in 1988 when, HRH, Crown Princess Sonja of
Norway allowed her name to be used to raise funds. Through
this fund two categories of grants are available:
Local Lodge Partnership Grants
The Sons of Norway Foundation Local Lodge Partnership
Grants invites applications from lodges that wish to promote
Norwegian heritage in their communities. These are matching
fund grants, with a maximum award of $1,000. Examples
of activities include cultural fairs, hosting visiting
groups, cultural skills classes, books for lodge libraries,

General Heritage and Culture Grants
The General Heritage and Culture Grants are awarded to
individuals, groups or organizations that promote the
heritage and culture of traditional or modern Norway.
Maximum award is $3,000. Examples of activities include
community festivals, cultural exchange programs, research
projects, instructional videos and books, etc. For more information click

The Sons of Norway Foundation Humanitarian
Fund was established in 1997. We gratefully acknowledge
the generosity and patronage of HRM, King Harald V
of Norway in establishing and providing its initial
funding. A contribution of $250 or more to the S/N Foundation
Humanitarian Fund entitles the donor to a special edition
medallion with the image of, HRM, King Harold V. The estate
of Dr. Myrtle Beinhauer, a Sons of Norway member and educator,
made a generous gift to the Foundation, which is also
a major source for this funding.
Helping Hands to Children Grant
The Helping Hands to Children Grant is a matching funds
grant for lodges that helps establish educational/heritage
programming for youth. Eligible programming includes Adopt
a School, Barnas Norsk Klubb, Childrens Folk Dancing
Groups, Junior Lodges, Heritage Camps and special programming
