SUMMARY:Celebration of the Norwegian Immigrant Story
DESCRIPTION:Idun Lodge 5-074 Sons of Norway and the Edvard Grieg Chorus are working together to present an afternoon of stories and songs to support Trinity Lutheran Church in the restoration of Trinity’s pipe organ and sanctuary.  The program will include music presented by the Grieg Chorus and celebrations of the Norwegian Immigrants that settled in the Near East Side of Madison. SUMMARY:Nordic Music Festival
DESCRIPTION:Scandia Lodge #1-680 in Waconia\, MN\, is again planning a Nordic Music Festival at the Lion’s Park in Victoria\, MN.  The festival will include a wide variety of Nordic dancers\, singers\, instrumentalist\, bands\, and more in the main covered pavillion.   There will also be two smaller tents which where smaller ensembles will be performing.  A group of Nordic Artists and Crafters will be showing their creations and offering them for sale.  There will be plenty of good dining avaiable\, featuring Danish pastries\, Norwegian lefse\, and two food trucks providing additional choices.  A Viking Village will be set up at the Lion’s Park.  A Silent Auction will be held to raise funds for the continuation of this festival. \nBest of all\, admission to the festival and parking are free.
