1. Join form: Is all of the new member information printed clearly? Please ask the new member to verify that their street and apartment or unit # on the form is complete, so that new member welcome kits are not returned to headquarters by the Post Office as an undeliverable or unknown address. (Unfortunately, even with First-class mail, this happens several times a month.)
  2. Include the date of birth and Norwegian affiliation for each new member. (Birth date information is confidential, but recognition of certain member types like free Heritage members and Golden members requires DOB eligibility information be included in the member record.)
  3. To avoid delays in the mail getting to headquarters, or delays caused by missing information on the paper form, consider offering online sign ups at your lodge or at other events. It’s an easy way to get a new membership started quickly and accurately, AND to get the recognition you deserve as the member recruiter: Just provide your membership number for the “Referring member number” area at the bottom of the online form.

Thank you for getting the word out about the positive benefits of Sons of Norway members and welcoming more than 1,200 new members so far this year.

One new member said recently: …membership offers Fellowship and added support though Sons of Norway Foundation and Financial Services—it’s a WIN, WIN, WIN for members and our communities.
