History you can feel! Connect with your roots at our Scandinavian Skinnfell workshop, hosted by the Rumelva Lodge and Isanti County Historical Society. Don’t miss this chance to learn the ancient art of sheepskin crafting!
Skinnfell (pronounced “shin-fell”) is a traditional Scandinavian folk art of sewing multiple sheepskins together to create decorated blankets, coverlets, or clothing. Dating back to the Viking era, these pelts provided essential warmth during harsh Nordic winters and were often passed down through generations as cherished family heirlooms.
