Insurance Customer Service Representative/Admin Support

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Answer phone inquiries from customers and insurance agents regarding policy status, account status, claims, billing, address changes, benefit verification.
  • Investigate and resolve customer problems and disputes in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Providing customers and agents with status updates, policy, and product information.
  • Document phone calls using Amazon Connect Phone System.
  • Process paperwork for insurance providers and carriers which include additions, deletions, confirmation letters, data entry forms, adjusting invoices, changing beneficiaries, and issuing certificates of insurance.
  • Maintain accurate records & documents.
  • Experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support-related tasks and should be able to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Highly resourceful team player, who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, and efficient.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.

Working hours: Mon- Thur 7:30 am to 5:00pm / Fri 8:00 am to 12:00 noon.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate diplomacy and tact while interacting with all levels within and outside of the organization.
  • Call Center experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and phone skills are essential.
  • Strong Administrative support skills.
  • Organization and planning skills to prioritize workflow and schedules and adjust to changing administrative priorities.
  • Ability to work independently under general instructions.

Qualifications

High School Graduate

  • Typing ability.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
