From Zoom meetings to drive-through dinners and virtual classes, we’ve heard terrific ideas to keep members engaged. Do you have a tip to share about attracting new members or engaging current members? Please email it to [email protected] and we will share the ideas in a future issue of Leadership Resource. Here are recent ideas and tips from lodge leaders:

    • Nordkap Lodge 5-378 wanted to offer a fresh family activity. They also wanted to make the most of what fall in Michigan has to offer. They looked for an outdoor location, in a setting that allowed social distancing. They selected Plymouth Orchards & Cider Mill as a family-friendly venue, since this organic farm provided a variety of activities that even the youngest family members could enjoy. Lodge editor Louise Giles reports that the result of this first-time October event was an outstanding turnout!
  • Joan Callahan, lodge secretary at Scandinavian Heritage Society 3-433 is hoping to attract attention and new members too. She has been adding information about monthly lodge meetings in Viking magazines and putting them in the free magazine exchange at the local library.
