Sons of Norway recently implemented a new, streamlined process for ordering supplies. This change applies to most supply orders, including Sports Medals and Cultural Skills pins, as well as general lodge supplies like table flags, placemats and napkins.
Every year, each lodge is required to file two financial forms. These are the Local Lodge Financial Statement (Form D17) and the IRS Form 990. Lodges that own property also must complete the Local Lodge Property Financial Statement (D18).
We’ve recently had a number of complaints of what seemed to be spam emails from various district or lodge leaders. These emails would typically seem as if they were coming from a lodge leader and would ask for money, a gift card, etc.
Sons of Norway Headquarters will be sending out one more Golden Membership mailing to Lodge Presidents for people who became Golden in the last quarter of 2020. This will be the last automatic mailing of Golden Certificates and Pins to lodges.
The Foundation recently announced a campaign to raise $100,000 to support its programs in coordination with Foundation Month. On October 1, the campaign was announced to the general membership.
Your lodge’s Officer Roster for 2021 should be reported on sofn.com through a current lodge officer’s profile page. These changes are typically registered by the Lodge Secretary. Please indicate your 2021 officers, even if there have been no changes.
