On Monday, October 19, renowned humorous author, Janet Letnes Martin, will present an enjoyable free program entitled “Uffda! How Do I Sort Out the Begats?” The program will be held at the Atonement Lutheran Church, 1144 29th Ave. N. in St. Cloud at 7:00 p.m.
Janet, who has co-authored 18 humorous books about growing up Lutheran and also being Scandinavian, hails from Hastings, MN. Her first book “Growing Up Lutheran” (1997) became the inspiration for the Lutheran Church Basement Ladies” musical comedies, which became popular in 2005, and continue to be well-liked and ongoing.
The evening October 19th program on Begats (ancestry, lineage and genealogy) is sure to be filled with laughter. Janet’s friend, Margit, a master genealogist, will be in attendance to answer questions attendees may have regarding researching their own family tree. Bring along questions.
In addition, in true Lutheran Church Basement Ladies tradition, there will be a JELLO CONTEST! Please bring along your favorite Jello salad to be judged. Prizes awarded. Refreshments are included in this free evening of laughter. Many of Janet’s book will be available for sale at great prices.
