Ingredients

8 Cups flour
4 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tsp. salt
3 Tsp. baking powder
2¼ Cups water
1 Tbsp. oil

Flour for dusting
Sticks for cooking bread

Directions

Step 1

Wash all sticks so that they are free of dirt, hazel wood sticks seem to work best.

Step 2

Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl and stir to mix well.

Step 3

Dust your hands with flour and knead your dough gently a few times.

Step 4

Make sure that stick is wet prior to wrapping dough around it so that the stick does not burn in the fire.

Step 5

Take about 1/2 cup of dough and form into a long ribbon. Wrap your dough around the stick. Place on grill and continue to move frequently until bread is browned equally on each side.
